It is my lot in life to be surrounded by beautiful women

 There is nothing quite like meeting someone for the first time and feeling instantly comfortable, for a moment you begin to question if you have known them your whole life. 

Familiarity builds and you begin to reveal things about yourself you have kept silent for years. They manage to open you up and take out every secret and replace them with their own.

My Grandmother always taught me every situation in life has a silver lining. Having a damaged past opens you up to the other silently wounded, the ones who listen with understanding and never respond with judgement. Their strength comes from the scars they hide so well. They are the ones who never fill your newsfeed with complaints of bad traffic; they know there are far worse things than work on a Monday morning.

We met three months ago and she is already my person. Conversations flow easily as our words dance around each other; subjects rapidly change as we race to discuss every thought. Her strength astounds me, she states her horrors as one would state the weather report. She is so completely unaware of how her wanderlust and passion for life inspires others, how spending mere moments in her warming presence lifts your soul. Completely embodying the quote by Jennifer L. Armentrout “I’ve always found that the most beautiful people, truly beautiful inside and out, are the ones who are quietly unaware of their effect.” she frustratingly denies every compliment. I only wish one day she will appreciate her effortless beauty.

It is my lot in life to be surrounded by beautiful women with personalities that exceed their stunning beauty and I feel unworthy. I must have done something wonderful in a past life to be allowed such friends.
